It holds replacement main wheels with tires in the version with a diamond tread for models of the P-51D Mustang in 1:48 scale. The resin castings offer a sharper detail of the tread and of the hub than plastic parts and tend to be executed with a faithful bulge.
The North American P-51D Mustang was an American fighter of the Second World War, one of the most successful long-range escort fighters. The tread patterns of the tires differed on the machines of the period; the diamond tread was among the typical variants.
Wash the castings free of release agent and separate them from the casting blocks. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the tires matte and gently bring out the dust at the contact patch; set the hubs apart with a shade according to the machine version chosen.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
