Aires 1:48 Phantom FGR.2 exhaust nozzles is a resin set of exhaust nozzles for the British version of the Phantom in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory, not an aircraft kit.

This cast resin set replaces the engine exhaust nozzles on a model in 1:48 scale. A part this complex in shape, with a thin wall and rendered interior, is among the things an injection die handles only to a limited degree — plastic nozzles tend to be thick-walled, split by a seam and without a proper inside. A casting, by contrast, offers a thin rim and a readable structure of the segments. The manufacturer is Aires, a Czech brand focused on resin details for aircraft models. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for a model already bought.
The Phantom FGR.2 was the British version of the twin-engine multirole Phantom II, adapted for the needs of the Royal Air Force. The key difference from the American versions was the British Rolls-Royce Spey turbofan engines, which called for changes to the design of the rear fuselage and to the exhaust itself. That is exactly why the tail end of the British Phantoms differs visibly from machines with American engines, and why a dedicated set of nozzles makes sense on a model.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the area on sandpaper laid on a flat surface — that will make sure the nozzles seat square. Glue with super glue, or first in spots and then complete the joint once you have checked the position. Build the metal look of the exhaust up in layers: a smooth gloss base, metal shades over it, slight differences of tone in the individual segments and finally a dark wash and light sooting from the rim inward. Apply metallics last, as they are harder to overspray and mask.
This is an accessory for modelers, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unpainted; paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
