Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin engine cowlings in the correct shape for the American Lockheed PV-1 Ventura patrol and bomber aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part that replaces the less accurately shaped plastic cowlings from the base kit, not a stand-alone airplane model.
The Lockheed PV-1 Ventura was an American twin-engine patrol and bomber aircraft of the Second World War, used above all by the Navy. It was powered by a pair of Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engines housed in cylindrical nacelles whose cowling shape is characteristic for recognizing the type.
Resin parts call for more careful work than plastic: first wash them free of mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting block and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways when sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. Seat the cowlings dry on the nacelles before gluing and check how the shape carries over to the fuselage and wing; fill and sand any gaps.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
