The set from the Czech maker CMK is not a standalone kit, but a correction detail accessory — resin flaps (control surfaces of the wing) intended for models of the Republic RF-84F Thunderflash reconnaissance aircraft in 1:48 scale. They make it possible to show the flaps in the lowered position and offer a more faithful shape and finer surface detail than the parts of the base kit have.
The Republic RF-84F Thunderflash is an American jet reconnaissance aircraft derived from the F-84F Thunderstreak fighter. Lowered flaps belong among the elements that bring the static presentation of a model to life and bring it closer to the look of the aircraft on the approach to landing.
Wash the parts with lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off, clean the surfaces up and protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before gluing, try the seating of the flaps dry and adjust the seating surfaces on the wing if necessary. Bring the details out with fine shading of the engraved lines.
The set contains only the resin flaps; it is not a standalone model and it does not contain glue or paints. A corresponding base plastic kit is needed in order to use it.
