1:48 RS-82 Rockets (10 Pcs) (all kits) from Quinta Studio is an accessory set of Soviet underwing rockets for builders of aircraft of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set adds underwing rocket armament to Soviet aircraft in a form that basic injection molds usually do not offer. The note all kits in the name suggests that the set is not tied to a single particular kit and counts on use with various models of the same scale. The number of ten pieces is stated in the name itself.
The RS-82 was a Soviet unguided rocket of 82 millimeter caliber, which the aircraft of the Red Army launched from simple underwing rails. It made its mark in combat as early as the end of the 1930s and during the war it was carried by fighters as well as ground-attack machines, among them the I-16, the I-153 and the Il-2. Against ground targets it was a cheap and available weapon that complemented the cannon and bomb armament and could be used against grouped air targets as well.
The placing of the rails comes from the particular type and batch of aircraft, so it pays to find a period photograph before you reach for the glue. First offer the parts up dry and verify the spacing and the angle in relation to the leading edge. Cyanoacrylate glue applied in a small amount holds small stores reliably. Painting is more comfortable before fitting them onto the model: spray the rocket separately, accentuate the parting seams with a dark wash once it has dried and lighten the edges slightly with a dry brush.
The contents of the package are underwing armament, which you fit onto a model of an aircraft obtained separately.
