Eduard SB2C masks 1:48 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the American SB2C Helldiver carrier-based dive bomber. It gives crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is intended for a plastic model of the American Curtiss SB2C Helldiver carrier-based dive bomber. It is neither a kit nor a model in its own right, but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage areas without tediously cutting tape by hand.
The Curtiss SB2C Helldiver is an American carrier-based dive bomber of the Second World War with a radial engine and a crew of two in tandem under a long greenhouse canopy. In the second half of the war in the Pacific it gradually replaced the older dive bombers and became the main strike machine of the American carriers. It carried bombs in a bomb bay and a rear gun position for defense.
Degrease the long greenhouse glazing of the canopy carefully. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them patiently onto the individual panels of the framing, working systematically window by window. Finish off the corners and transitions with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The masks for the wheels separate the tire from the disc. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a shallow angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
