A resin detail set, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the exhaust pipes of the American Vought SB2U Vindicator carrier dive bomber in 1:48 scale. The resin exhausts have a faithful shape, hollowed outlets and a fine texture that the plastic from the box usually only suggests. The set is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
The exhausts are among the prominent details along the sides of the engine section and how they are made strongly affects the realistic impression. The SB2U Vindicator was one of the first monoplane carrier bombers of the US Navy and was deployed, among other places, at the Battle of Midway. Hollow outlets and a fine texture, painted in metal and rusty shades with light weathering, look far better than solid plastic stubs.
