This resin detail set contains a more accurately cast exhaust pipe for a model of the Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 carrier fighter. It is meant as an improvement for Sea Fury FB.11 models in 1:48 scale and comes as a separate accessory rather than as an aircraft kit.
The Hawker Sea Fury was a British carrier fighter powered by a strong radial engine, one of the fastest production propeller fighters. The side exhausts with their hollow outlets are among the visible features where a faithfully cast part raises the realism of the engine area markedly.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut them carefully off the casting blocks and sand the seating faces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The exhaust comes into its own once painted in metallic and rust tones with light weathering.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
