This resin detail set brings more accurately cast doors for the main landing gear of a model of the Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 carrier fighter. It is meant as an improvement for Sea Fury FB.11 models in 1:48 scale and comes as a separate accessory rather than as an aircraft kit.
The Hawker Sea Fury was a British carrier fighter of the late 1940s, one of the fastest production propeller fighters ever built. The FB.11 version served with naval aviation as a fighter-bomber. The thin landing gear doors are among the features on a model where a casting with a more accurate profile reads more faithfully than a thicker plastic part.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut them off the casting blocks and sand the seating faces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The inner faces of the doors come into their own once painted in the matching interior shade.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
