A resin ejection seat with cast-in seat belts for a model of the British Hawker Sea Hawk carrier jet fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail part from Quickboost. The casting replaces the seat from the kit with a more accurate rendering, belts included.
The Hawker Sea Hawk was a British carrier jet fighter with straight wings, operated by the Fleet Air Arm in the 1950s. It was powered by a centrifugal-flow Rolls-Royce Nene turbojet. An accurate seat is one of the prominent features of an open cockpit.
Wash the seat to remove mold release, separate it from the casting block with a knife or a saw and fix it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. Before painting, key the surface lightly and apply a primer suitable for resin so that the paint holds well and does not peel anywhere.
This is an accessory for refining a kit, not a standalone model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
