It is not a kit but a cockpit accessory that faithfully renders the SJU-17 ejection seat used in the carrier fighters of the F/A-18 series. The set combines raised relief with color printing, so the seat gains a realistic structure of the cushioning, the harness and the details with no laborious painting. The package is enough for one seat; for the two-seat version the set has to be bought twice.
The SJU-17 is a modern ejection seat for the American carrier aircraft of the F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet series. It saves the pilot across a wide range of speeds and altitudes and is a conspicuous feature of the cockpit.
The 3D decals are thicker than ordinary ones and do not tolerate softeners. They are transferred onto a well dried gloss base and fixed with a thin dispersion (PVA) glue. Work part by part, let the parts settle and only then fit the seat into the cockpit.
