This resin detail set from the Brassin range by the maker Eduard replaces the plastic landing gear wheels on the model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.V fighter in 1:48 scale. The package contains main wheels with a weighted tire effect, a tail wheel and, with them, a mask that makes accurate painting of the hub and the tire easier. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that raises the realism.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.V was one of the most widespread versions of the legendary British fighter, deployed in large numbers in 1941 and later. Detailed wheels with a realistic tire footprint are among the popular improvements for this type in particular.
Wash the release agent off the parts, cut them from the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Use the enclosed mask to separate the rubber part of the tire from the hub while spraying. Spray the wheels with primer first.
This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
