A kit of a small utility scooter in a rendition for fire service. Compared with ordinary civilian machines it is a more conspicuous piece, because firefighting hardware tends to be markedly colorful and catches attention in a scene even at its size. Besides this item Firma49 also offers the older model 39, so a little group of machines of the same marque in different roles can be built.
Model 32 belongs to the early generation of scooters of the Cushman marque. Machines of this type proved themselves as a fast means of liaison on extensive grounds and fire brigades used them in this role as well, as it allowed them to reach the place of an alarm before the large hardware arrived. The scooter carried basic equipment and one man at the same time, which was enough for a first survey of the place of an incident.
The richly red or white paint of firefighting hardware calls for a smooth base, so sand the surfaces down with fine sandpaper before spraying and add a primer layer. The covering power of red is weaker, so count on several thin layers instead of one thick one. Add the metal parts and the lamp in silver and clear paint only after the coat has dried, so that the shades do not merge.
