Eduard Brassin Spitfire Mk.IX top cowl late 1:48 is a resin detail set, an accessory for models of the Spitfire Mk.IX fighter. It is not a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, from the Brassin line. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for finishing a larger kit: a one-piece upper engine cowling of the late version for the British Spitfire Mk.IX in 1:48 scale. The package contains the resin part and a sheet of decals. Always check the fit against your own base model.
The upper engine cowling differs between Spitfire versions in shape and in the bulges above the engine cylinders. The one-piece resin casting of the late version replaces the split plastic parts from the box with no need to fill the seams, and with more crisply defined transitions. The set is intended for models of the Spitfire Mk.IX in the late configuration.
Wash the part free of mold release agent, cut the casting block off with a saw and clean the surface up for a perfect seat on the fuselage. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit dry before painting. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
