This resin detail set from the manufacturer Eduard holds a complete pilot's cockpit for models of the Spitfire Mk.VIII in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of an airplane but an aftermarket accessory, with which you will replace the plastic interior of the base kit with a richly broken-up resin rendering. Colored photo-etched parts including the instrument panel tend to be part of it.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.VIII was a high-altitude fighter powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine with a two-stage supercharger. It was marked out by a retractable tail wheel and adjusted cooling and was put into action above all in Italy, in the Far East and in Australia.
Wash the resin parts clean of the mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Fasten the colored photo-etch with a small drop of super glue. The interior is sprayed Interior Grey-Green, and the details are brought out with a dry brush and a gentle wash; wear respiratory protection while sanding.
This is an accessory for an interior, not a model in its own right. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
