This is a resin accessory in 1:48 scale from the Czech brand Quickboost (part of the Aires family), not a model in its own right. The set contains the wing ailerons for the Su-17M4 Fitter-K fighter-bomber and lets you replace the part from the base kit with more faithful castings, which can also be set deflected.
Deflected control surfaces give a standing model a sense of movement and look natural, as though the aircraft had just parked. The Quickboost resin ailerons have finely rendered skin ribbing and crisp leading edges, which are hard to achieve in plastic.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and dry-fit them; glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. A primer, fine panel shading and a patina suit the faithful look.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as resin castings. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
