Su-25 30 Years in Bulgarian service decals in 1:48 scale relate to the anniversary of this attack aircraft's service in Bulgaria.
Responsibility details are not available.
A Model Maker decal set in 1:48 scale for a model of the Su-25 attack aircraft. The name links it to the anniversary of thirty years of the type in Bulgarian service, that is, to an occasion for which an aircraft tends to be given special markings. The set is a stand-alone accessory for a finished, painted model; it holds no parts or kit, and the scope of the sheet does not follow from the name.
The Su-25 is a twin-engined subsonic attack aircraft with a straight wing, a sturdy structure and extensive armor around the cockpit. It is a machine made for work at low altitude, and its typically worn surface goes with that. Models of this type therefore carry heavier weathering than aircraft that spend most of their time at altitude.
Anniversary markings tend to be colorful and busy and are often applied across the whole tail or the side of the fuselage. Apply them first, while you still have the most room on the model to maneuver, and with plenty of water so they can be moved. The surface must be a gloss clear varnish. On curved areas it helps to dose the softener repeatedly in small amounts. Watch out with the final weathering: a colorful motif is easily drowned in a dark wash, so it pays to weather it more sparingly than the rest of the model. Choose a rather semi-gloss overcoat, so the colors do not go gray.
The package holds decals. The model, the paints and the varnishes are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
