This replacement nose (radome) in finely cast resin takes the place of the plastic part from the base kit and refines the shape of the tip of the Soviet Su-27 heavy fighter in 1:48 scale. The casting is ready to be glued on once the casting block is cut off.
The Su-27 (NATO reporting name Flanker) is a Soviet and later Russian twin-engine single-seat air superiority fighter that entered service in the mid-1980s. It stands out for its large, aerodynamically refined fuselage, long range and exceptional agility. The shape of the nose carries the radar and strongly defines the character of the whole silhouette, so a more accurate radome visibly raises the fidelity of a finished model.
