This is a resin aftermarket detail set, not an aircraft model. It holds faithfully cast blocks of chaff and flare dispensers in the form with the munitions loaded, for models of the Soviet Su-17M3/M4 Fitter K fighter-bomber in 1:48 scale. The castings replace the simplified plastic parts from the box.
Loaded dispensers give a model the realistic look of an aircraft ready for combat. The fine castings capture the individual cartridges that plastic usually only suggests. The set is intended for one particular type of aircraft, and it is advisable to check the fit before building.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks away and clean them up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection when sanding resin. For painting, a primer and fine shading work well.
This is an accessory for advanced modelers. The kit itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
