A resin detail set from Quickboost (the sister brand of Aires) intended to improve the plastic kit of the Su-17/22M4 Fitter-K fighter-bomber in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. It is not an aircraft model but a replacement nose radome with an air intake. The set is intended for modelers with experience of resin.
It replaces the nose radar cover, the radome, from the original kit with a more accurate rendering including the characteristic small air intake on the side of the nose. It is a simple but effective replacement that improves the shape and detail of the front of the aircraft without the need for complicated work.
Wash any mold release agent off the part, separate it carefully from the casting block and dry-fit it to the nose of the fuselage; sand and fill the joint where needed. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Wear respiratory protection while sanding, then apply primer and the paints according to the scheme.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
