The item on offer is an accessory set for a model of the British Supacat Coyote tactical support vehicle in 1:48 scale. It is not the vehicle itself – what you get are add-on parts with which a finished kit is filled out so that it reads as a machine in daily service rather than a clean exhibit off the production line.
The Coyote is the six-wheeled member of the British family of high-mobility transporters and the direct sibling of the smaller four-wheeled Jackal. It was designed as an escort and supply vehicle for patrols: it carries fuel, ammunition, water and spare materiel for the vehicles it operates alongside. Typical features are the open load bed, the long suspension travel for cross-country running and the machine gun mounts above the cab and on the sides.
Before you glue anything, lay the parts out dry on the load bed and build them into irregular heaps – stowage lined up in a row gives away that it is a modeling insert. It pays to paint separately: spray the load bed and chassis on their own, paint the add-on parts off the model and fit them only once they are dry. A dark wash in the gaps and a light dry brush along the edges will separate the individual items visually.
The vehicle, paints and glue are not in the package – the set deals purely with filling out a model that is already built.
