The middle size of the collared family, 0.8 mm. It fits the mounting of header pipes, gearbox covers and the attachment of footpegs.
Responsibility details are not available.
Surplus glue squeezed out from under the collar goes unnoticed while it is wet. It dries into a thin glossy ring that appears on a flat surface the moment the final varnish arrives, and it can only be removed by scraping, together with the paint beneath it. At eight tenths of a millimeter the collar is still small enough for even a tiny surplus to flow all the way around it.
Transfer a drop onto a piece of foil, take from it only as much as clings to the point of a needle and apply that into the hole. Then set the part in one movement, with no extra pressing, because that is exactly what squeezes the glue out. If something does seep out anyway, let it dry completely and lift it off with a sharp point; smearing a wet surplus does more harm than waiting.
This diameter stands on the boundary between the fine and the coarse grades. It fits flange joints of medium size: the mounting of exhaust headers, gearbox covers, the lower radiator flanges, the attachment of footpegs. It tends to be the size modelers reach for most often when building a motorcycle, precisely because it neither sticks out nor disappears.
Insert the part dry and turn it. If it wobbles in the hole, the hole is wide and the glue will not solve the problem, only postpone it. If it will not go in at all, run through the hole once more, but with a tool one grade thinner than would suggest itself. Only when it sits without play and without force is it worth fixing the joint permanently.
