A set of precisely cut masking masks of kabuki paper from the maker New Ware in 1:48 scale for the two-seat TA-4 Skyhawk trainer. The EXPERT rendering is the most complete line of masks: it covers the canopy of the cabin from the inner as well as the outer side, the sealing frames, the other glazed parts and the wheels.

Use

The individual masks are lifted out of the sheet with tweezers and seated on the model precisely, then sprayed over with paint. Kabuki paper follows curved surfaces well and once the paint has dried it comes off easily without damaging the surface. This is a modeling accessory for painting, not a kit.

Usage tips

• Clean and degrease the surface before masking
• Press the edges of the masks down carefully, so that the paint does not creep in
• Spray thin coats, so that no ridge forms under the mask
• Take the masks off while the paint is still slightly pliable
