This set from the Brassin range adds finely cast gun bays to both wings. It contains resin parts complemented by photo-etched pieces. It is intended for models of the Hawker Tempest Mk.V in 1:48 scale and makes it possible to open the wing and show how the cannons are mounted.
Open gun bays are among the striking additions that bring a model to life on display. This is not an aircraft kit but a detail set for more advanced modelers who want to show the internal structure of the wing.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Bend the photo-etched pieces accurately to shape. Paint the inside of the bays with an airbrush, bring out the panel lines and edges with a wash, and lift the cables and mechanisms with drybrushing.
The set contains cast and photo-etched parts. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
