Towing cables are a conspicuous element on the hull of modern tanks, and the plastic version from the box can neither be made to sag naturally nor adapted to the way it sits in its brackets. A replacement cable solves that: it can be shaped so that it looks like a real steel cable carried by its own weight. The contents of the package, the length, the diameter, the material and the execution of the end fittings are stated on the box.
The M1 Abrams is an American main battle tank introduced in the 1980s, powered by a gas turbine and fitted with composite armor. It has been through a series of upgrades that changed the main armament, the add-on armor and the external equipment. For a believable look a dark metallic or deep brown shade suits, rounded off with a wash and a light dust pigment — new shiny cables are not convincing on a vehicle in service.
