A photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Hauler in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory of thin metal sheet. It refines the track skids on the bogies of the VVSS suspension shared by models of the M4 Sherman tank and the M10 tank destroyer. The set is designed around the Tamiya kit.
The track skid on the upper side of the bogie is a small but conspicuous element. In plastic it comes out simplified, whereas the photo-etched replacement has a faithful shape and profile. Because the M4 and the M10 use the same type of suspension, the set can be used for both families of vehicles.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife and make the bends in a bender. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the sheet before painting and apply a primer for metals.
This is a detail accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
