1:48 US GP 100lb AN-M30A1 bombs is a set of ten American general-purpose bombs: external stores for a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings ten American bombs of 100 pounds of the AN-M30A1 type in 1:48 scale from Brengun. This is not a model of an aircraft; it is an armament accessory hung under the wings or into the bomb bay of a model that is already built. Ten pieces in one package are enough to fill a whole bomb rack with some to spare for a diorama.
The AN-M30A1 was a hundred-pound general-purpose bomb from the standardized American range of the Second World War. It was used on machines from fighter-bombers to light bombers, precisely because its low weight allowed a greater number of them to be carried. A fairly short body with a ring stabilizer at the rear is characteristic.
The most sensitive place is the stabilizer; on cast bombs it tends to be thin and bends easily. Separate the parts with a saw in small steps, as nippers will crush them. Once cut, sand down the flat that nobody looks at and check that the bomb stands square. Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent before gluing. They are glued with cyanoacrylate; apply a drop with a pin straight into the lug. In painting it helps to do all ten pieces at once on a cork pin stand; the shade then matches across the whole batch and there is no touching in to deal with. Seal the base with primer.
This is an accessory set, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
