A resin detail accessory in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost (Aires) brand. It is not a model of the airplane but a replacement part of the fuel outlet pipe for a build of the Vickers Wellington bomber. This version has the covering flaps in the closed position, which matches a machine in its ordinary flight configuration. The set replaces the matching plastic part from the base kit and raises the fidelity of the detail.
The Vickers Wellington was a British twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War. It became renowned for the geodetic lattice construction of the airframe, which was resistant to combat damage. The fuel outlet pipe served for jettisoning fuel in an emergency before landing.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release residue, separate the casting blocks carefully and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The part is meant as a replacement for the matching part of the base model.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
