This is a resin set made for the plastic kit of the Yakovlev Yak-1 fighter. The box replaces the wheels of the model with faithfully cast resin parts carrying a sunken tire tread pattern and finely defined hubs. Masking film is included, which makes it easier to paint the tire and the hub cleanly without the labor of cutting masks.
The Yakovlev Yak-1 is a Soviet single-engine fighter of the Second World War. It was among the first production machines of the Yakovlev design line and became the basis for the later developed versions. It was a light, agile aircraft of mixed construction.
First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with your airways protected. Paint the wheels using the masking film supplied, which separates the tire from the hub.
