A resin accessory, a pitot tube for the Yak-38 Forger from the Czech brand Quickboost in 1:48 scale — a part, not a model kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin accessory from the Quickboost brand in 1:48 scale offers a finely cast pitot tube, the airspeed sensor, for a model of the Soviet carrier-based V/STOL aircraft Yakovlev Yak-38, known in the West by the reporting name Forger. It is not an airplane kit but a small detail part that replaces the coarser plastic tube with a thin and accurate resin casting.
The Yak-38 was a Soviet carrier-based fighter with vertical take-off and landing, operated from the decks of the Kiev-class cruisers. The pitot tube measured the speed of the airflow and on this type it projected from the nose of the aircraft. A thin and straight sensor looks far more faithful on a finished model than a thicker plastic part, which also bends or breaks easily.
Wash the resin part in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue from the mold. Carefully cut off the thin casting block with a knife, lightly sand the surface and protect your airways when sanding resin. Bond the tube with care using super glue (cyanoacrylate); apply a primer before painting so that the paint holds on the smooth resin.
It is supplied as a resin accessory for experienced modelers, not as a standalone kit. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
