This is a resin replacement set of main wheels for the early versions of the light Douglas A-4 Skyhawk carrier-borne attack aircraft. The wheels have the characteristic spoke type of hub, which matches the A-4A, A-4B and early A-4C machines. It is not a model of the aircraft but a detail accessory that replaces the parts from the kit.
The casting captures the fine tire tread and the structure of the hub more sharply than injection-molded plastic can. The wheels tend to be cast with a hint of flattening where they touch down, so the model sits realistically on its landing gear. Separating the tire and the rim in color makes painting easier.
The set holds resin parts; paints, glue and the kit are not included in the package.
