A set of painting masks from Art Scale (ASK) for a plastic model of the Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawk transport helicopter in 1:48 scale. It is an express fit mask, so the parts are pre-cut from Japanese kabuki film and ready to stick straight down. The one-sided form masks the extensive cabin glazing from the outer side. The parts carry printed numbers for easy placing. The set is designed for the ICM kit.

The real subject

The Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk is an American multi-purpose transport helicopter which since the end of the 1970s has formed the backbone of helicopter transport in the US Army. The UH-60A version was the basic production variant for carrying troops and cargo.

Use

• Stick the pre-cut parts onto the frames of the front and side glazing.
• Paint over them with a brush or an airbrush.
• The film gives sharp edges with no creeping.
• Once dry, remove the masks carefully.
