About product

de Havilland Mosquito wheel set (late) 1:32 (RESArm)

A 3D-printed resin set of main wheels in 1:32 scale for models of the twin-engine de Havilland Mosquito in the late version from RESArm. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail replacement for the plastic wheels with more faithful parts carrying a fine tire pattern. The designation late refers to the form of the wheels matching the later machines.

The real subject

The de Havilland Mosquito was a British twin-engine all-wooden aircraft of the Second World War, used as a fighter-bomber, a night fighter and a reconnaissance aircraft. In the large 1:32 scale the landing gear wheels are among the details that strongly influence the overall impression.

Tips for working it

Separate the parts from the print supports and wash the uncured print resin residue off. If the wheels have a flattened area, seat them level on the surface. Use super glue for bonding; the tires and the rims are easy to mask and paint separately.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building the Mosquito in a large scale
  • Anyone interested in faithful wheels instead of plastic parts
  • Builders used to resin and 3D-printed parts

The set contains resin supplementary parts only. The aircraft model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.

FAQ

No, it is a resin set of wheels with which you replace the plastic parts of your Mosquito model.

The form of the wheels matches the later de Havilland Mosquito machines; check the type against your kit.

Once cleaned of the supports and of uncured print resin residue, they are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
