A 2000 liter auxiliary fuel tank for models of the MiG-29 and the MiG-35 in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-29 is a Soviet twin-engine fighter that reached the units in the 1980s and spread to dozens of countries. The MiG-35 grows out of it as a later development of the whole family. Both aircraft share a weakness that the first users already held against them: the fuel in their own tanks is only enough for a short combat sortie. A drop tank is the answer to that. It extends the range, makes a ferry flight to a more distant airfield and a patrol sortie possible, and once empty it can be jettisoned. This tank holds 2000 liters, so it is one of the large ones.
This is an accessory for aircraft models in 1:48 scale. A drop tank changes the silhouette of the model and suits above all a machine built on a transit flight or on a long patrol rather than in close combat.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder so that the lengthwise line of the tank stays straight. Wash and degrease the part before painting and choose the glue according to its material. Paint the tank separately and hang it on the finished model; the underside is then easier to reach. Choose the shade according to the undersurface of the machine you are building, and when you fit it check that the tank hangs parallel to the axis of the fuselage; a part hung crooked shows at first glance.
For modelers building the MiG-29 or the MiG-35 in 1:48 scale who want the machine configured for a long-range flight. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
