A complete masking set in 1:48 for the British assault helicopter: the glazing, the cabin windows, the wheels and the inner faces, cut for the Airfix kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The HC.4 version differs from the anti-submarine Sea Kings mainly in what it lacks: it has no boat-shaped lower hull and no retractable landing gear with side sponsons. Instead it stands on fixed legs and offers an empty space in the rear for soldiers with their equipment. It got the nickname Junglie from service in the tropics, but it became famous in a completely different setting.
Machines of this form carried assault troops during the fighting for the Falklands in 1982, flew over Iraq and Afghanistan, and the Royal Navy parted with them only in 2016. In that time they went through several camouflage schemes, from desert sand to dark gray.
The most complete level includes the windscreen and the side glazing, the cabin windows, the wheels and the reverse of the glazed parts. The cut is based on the large 1:48 kit from Airfix.
On shipboard machines the main rotor and the tail boom fold, so that the helicopter fits into a cramped hangar below deck. A model can be built in either position, which builders of shipboard dioramas will appreciate above all.
The cabin frames on this machine are wide, so it pays to spray them separately and only then carry on onto the fuselage.
