An injection-molded plastic model of the French twin-engine bomber Bloch MB.210 in its late production form, in 1:72 scale from Azur. It is a separate variant, different from the early version; it differs in the airframe details of late production. The plastic has finely engraved panel lines and fairly detailed cockpits and crew stations. The package holds decals for several color schemes — machines of the French Air Force and one foreign marking.
The Bloch MB.210 was the low-wing successor to the high-wing MB.200, which in the second half of the 1930s formed the backbone of the French bomber force. Unlike its predecessor it had retractable landing gear and more modern aerodynamics. At the beginning of the Second World War it was already obsolete; even so it still served for night bombing and some of the machines later went to North Africa. Distinguish it from the taller high-wing MB.200 and from the early version of the MB.210.
Glue the plastic with a liquid modeling cement and sand the joints carefully; with a short-run model it pays to check the fit of the large fuselage parts and the engine nacelles. Polish the cockpit glazing before gluing it in and edge it with masks. Apply a base (primer) before painting. Lay the pre-war French camouflage and insignia down with an airbrush; a thin paneliner will bring out the fine panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
