This Revell plastic kit captures a truck in the colors of the tour that the band AC/DC named after the album Power Up. It brings together two subjects that do not usually go together: transport vehicles and music graphics. It is precisely the decals that turn an ordinary tractor unit into a piece that will not get lost on a shelf.
Behind every big tour runs a convoy of trucks. They carry stage structures, the sound system, the lighting rig and the facilities for the technicians, and often do so between cities overnight so that the morning build can be made. The vehicles tend to be covered with the motifs of the tour under way, which turns them into a rolling calling card for the band, and the fans recognize them in the parking lot by the arena.
The foundation is a smooth, glossy base, because on a matte surface large-area graphics settle badly and air bubbles are left under the edges. Work section by section, use a decal softener and always let the area dry out properly. Paint the cab, the frame and the body separately, while they are accessible from every side. A final uniform clear coat will even out the gloss of the whole vehicle.
The vehicle is sold taken apart into its pieces and unpainted; the assembly, the gluing and the painting are up to you.
