A 1:144 set of markings for the Douglas C-47 Skytrain and its British counterpart the Dakota in postwar military service. It is printed matter, not a set of parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of markings in 1:144 scale from the Czech manufacturer Mark I, aimed at the military transport version of the famous twin-engined machine in the period after the Second World War. In American service the type was known as the Skytrain, while British and allied units called it the Dakota. The contents are a printed sheet, not plastic moldings.
The army variant differed from the civil one in a strengthened floor, cargo doors on the left side and equipment for dropping paratroops. After 1945 the type stayed on the inventory of dozens of armies: it supplied besieged Berlin, carried the wounded during the Korean War and in the tropics served into the 1970s. Its durability and its ability to take off from unprepared surfaces long had no replacement.
Before the work, bring the surface of the model to a high gloss, otherwise matte outlines will appear under the film. Separate the motifs with a sharp scalpel, let them rest a while after soaking and only then slide them into place. Draw the surplus water off with a cotton swab from the middle toward the edges. Choose the sealing clear coat according to whether you are building the machine in a glossy metal finish or in matte field camouflage.
