New Ware has prepared pieces cut from kabuki tape for a model of the German bomber that finished the war with British or American markings. The extent matches the basic level. The masks are cut for the ICM kit.
The Ju 88 was the most versatile German twin-engined aircraft of the war: it bombed level and in a dive, it photographed and in later versions it hunted at night. A few examples fell into the hands of the enemy, whether after a navigational error by the crew or by capture on an occupied airfield. The remarked machines then served for performance trials and for training, so that pilots knew what they were actually flying against. It was precisely these aircraft that carried Allied markings on a German silhouette, which makes them a rewarding subject for a display case.
It is aimed at the transparent areas and the wheel discs. On this type that means above all the many-faceted glazed cockpit, which is characteristic of the whole design and whose framing is among the most laborious parts of the build. Hand-cut tape rarely holds the same width along the whole length of a frame.
