The double-sided Art Scale masking set for the B-26G Marauder 1:48 offers shapes for both sides of the glazing and stencils for the tires as well. Intended for the ICM kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Besides the outer surfaces the set also contains shapes for the inner side of the transparent parts. The frames of the cockpit can therefore be painted from inside too, which is clearly visible on the glazed nose of a medium bomber. Stencils for the wheels are an addition. Behind the brand stands the Liberec maker Art Scale Kit.
The target kit is the ICM one; it is bought separately.
The Martin B-26 medium bombers made up the core of the daylight strike formations of the US Army Air Forces operating from England and later from mainland airfields in France. They attacked bridges, rail yards, fuel depots and missile launch sites, that is, targets that had to be hit accurately and from a relatively low altitude. The B-26G version represented the close of the development of the type and flew at a moment when crews already had the tactics of tight formations and cooperation with the fighter escort worked out. The statistics of the end of the war showed a remarkably low proportion of losses per sortie for the Marauder.
First apply the inner shapes and spray the shade of the interior of the frames. Once it is dry, close the glazing into the fuselage, add the outer stencils and go on with the base color. Thin coats are more reliable here too than one heavy deposit; the transition then stays sharp.
The masks alone are supplied, without plastic parts and without paints.
