The pair of seats GRU-7A Ejection Seats for F14A/B Early - excluding seat belts (2pcs) in 1:48 scale from the brand Art Scale matches the earlier form of the cockpit fittings.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds two printed pieces of the seat in the older version and is intended for modelers building a machine from the first period of service. You will not find the belts in the box; it is assumed that you will add them by your own method.
The American twin-engined fighter with a variable-geometry wing reached the navy in the middle of the 1970s and immediately became the flagship of the carrier squadrons. Its two-man crew consisted of the pilot and the weapon systems operator, who worked the powerful radar for controlling long-range missiles. It is exactly from those first years that the form of the fittings this set captures comes from; later examples differed in detail, which is why the brand keeps them separately. The type remained in service for several decades and went through a number of modifications in that time, so the choice of period is no trifle.
Start with a dark metallic base over the whole frame, then mask and spray the soft padding in a muted shade. A dry brush in light steel will bring out the edges of the tubular structure, while a thin dark glaze deepens the recesses instead. Set the handles above the headrest apart markedly, as they are the most conspicuous features of the whole seat.
Neither a kit of the aircraft nor the belts belong to the box.
