Douglas Boston was the British name for the American twin-engine aircraft of the A-20 Havoc family: a fast light bomber and attack machine with tricycle landing gear and a glazed nose for the navigator and the bombardier. The Mk.III was one of the most widely used British variants and served with other Allied operators as well. Its characteristic features are the narrow fuselage, the engine nacelles with radial engines and the relatively high-set pilot's cockpit. Because the type had so many operators, it also carries a wide palette of color schemes, which makes it a rewarding subject for decal sets.
Always apply decals over a smooth gloss surface: on a matte finish, silvering appears under the carrier film. Cut the decal as close to the artwork as possible, soak it in lukewarm water for only a few seconds and let it rest on a paper towel until it releases. Slide it into place with a brush and water, press the air out with a soft towel and let it dry thoroughly. Over engraved lines and uneven surfaces, a decal softener applied drop by drop helps; do not touch the decal while the softener is working. Once it is dry, clear coat it to the sheen you want so that the edges of the film disappear.
This is a decal set, not a kit. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
