1:48 F-35A Lightning II Canopy, Wheels and EOTS Paint Masks Set is a sheet of cut masks for the glass, the wheels and the optics under the nose of the F-35A aircraft.

The sheet contains masking parts for the cockpit canopy from the outer and the inner side, for the rims of the landing gear wheels and for the angular optical window of the EOTS system under the nose. The outlines arose according to the clear parts of the 1:48 F-35A kit of the Tamiya brand; every firm treats the shape of the frame differently, so substituting a molding of another origin is not recommended.
The land variant of the Lightning II is the lightest of the whole trio and the only one to carry a built-in rotary cannon at the wing root. It takes off and lands conventionally from a runway, thanks to which it has a greater internal volume for fuel and for weapons than the version for vertical landing. It is the most widespread rendition of the type and flies with most of the countries that have acquired the aircraft.
The frame of the cockpit on this aircraft has an atypical run and when masking freehand it easily shifts. The second weak point is the wheel rims, where paint likes to flow onto the tire. Pre-cut parts solve both; they only have to be laid onto perfectly degreased and dried glass. Fingerprints on a clear part will show reliably under a finish, so it pays to work in gloves.
The accessory is supplied without a kit and without paints; those have to be obtained separately.
