Paint masks for the Ukrainian digital camouflage and the national insignia of the Su-24 Fencer in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sukhoi Su-24, under the NATO code name Fencer, is a two-seat bomber with a variable-sweep wing. The crew sits side by side, which is unusual among combat aircraft. The swing wing allows both an approach at low altitude and high speed and a landing on a shorter runway. The type has remained in service in a number of countries to the present day and in the Ukrainian Air Force it is one of the main strike machines.
The masks cover the areas of the digital camouflage, that is of the pattern assembled from small angular fields, and with them the national insignia. It is with this kind of pattern that masks help the most: a regular mosaic could hardly be imitated freehand and a large decal would wrinkle over the riveting and the panel lines. The scope of the sheet, the placement of the individual parts and the recommended order of the shades are described in the manufacturer's instructions.
Work from the lighter shades to the darker and let every layer cure before you stick the masks on for the next color. Press the edges down with a toothpick so that paint does not run underneath, and spray in several thin coats. With a mosaic pattern it is worth working on sections of the fuselage rather than the whole model at once. Take the masks off while fresh and at an angle to the rear.
The set will be appreciated by modelers who want to spray a broken-up camouflage and have sharp field edges. The package contains the masks; the paints, the glue and the kit are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
