Masks for the windows, canopy and wheels of the Westland Sea King helicopter, 1:48 scale cover all the clear parts of the kit from both sides.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sheet contains shapes for all the clear parts of the machine, and that from the outer and from the inner side, plus the rims of the landing gear wheels. The Sea King has a great many windows: besides the pilot's canopy there is still a row of side and door panes, so cutting tape by hand is particularly lengthy with it. The semi-transparent masking tape holds on slightly bulged glass as well and after spraying you take it off without anything remaining behind.
The British licensed variant of the American Sea King was built around domestic engines and British equipment and served mainly in the antisubmarine and rescue role. Machines with this unmistakable silhouette flew from decks and from coastal stations, intervened during the Falklands War and for long decades were among the best-known helicopters of their class. In the assault version they then saw service right into the twenty-first century.
The shapes are based on one particular mold of the helicopter in this scale and the maker of the masks expressly points out that they cannot be carried over to moldings of other brands, because the windows sit differently there. Lay the inner masks before gluing the parts into the fuselage; once glued you can no longer get at them.
