CT06 Italian M1929 Telo Mimetico - CAMOUFLAGE SET is an acrylic set of shades for reproducing the oldest mass-printed camouflage pattern in the world.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package marked CT06 belongs to a line that Lifecolor always builds around one particular camouflage pattern. This one aims at the Italian telo mimetico fabric, whose coloring is hard to mix from an ordinary palette.
The pattern came about as the print on the shelter quarters adopted by the Italian army in 1929 and is usually described as the very first mass-printed camouflage in the world. Irregular red-brown and gray-green areas with hard outlines lie on a sandy ocher base. The section served as a tarpaulin, a poncho and a cover over equipment; from 1943 jackets and overalls were sewn from the same fabric, and in variations the pattern lasted with Italian units until the 1990s. It interests modelers because it turns up on figures just as much as on the tarpaulins and covers of vehicles.
Builders of Italian figures and equipment of the interwar period and of the Second World War will reach for it, and so will anyone dealing with accessories such as shelter quarters and tarpaulins. It also finds use with post-war airborne and mountain units, because the pattern stayed in service with them long after 1945. Close the bottles well after work and protect them from frost.
