A very small resin kit of the French Renault FT-17 light tank in the railway scale 1:160 (N) from the Czech manufacturer Hauler. The finely cast resin kit, as a rule complemented by photo-etched parts, is intended for more experienced modelers because of its miniature size. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the exact contents of the package follow the enclosed instructions.
The Renault FT is regarded as the forerunner of the modern tank layout. It was one of the first to have a turret with full traverse, the engine at the rear and the crew at the front - an arrangement that became the standard. It was a small, light machine built in large numbers with a crew of two, used at the end of the First World War and after it in many armies of the world. Thanks to its role it is among the most significant tanks in history.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways while sanding. Given the really small 1:160 scale, work with tweezers and a magnifier and apply the paint in thin coats over a primer. Build the weathering up with fine washes and pigments; at such a small scale choose restrained effects so that the detail is not lost.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
