1:35 Panzer IV steel return rollers, pattern 4, 1943 - 45 closes the set of four shape variants of steel return rollers for one vehicle in 1:35.
Responsibility details are not available.
The last of the range of four renditions that Elefant has prepared for builds of the Panzer IV in 1:35 scale. The placing in the name reaches, as with the first pattern, from 1943 to the end of the war, and the contents of the box match one vehicle.
The Panzer IV chassis served as the basis for a whole family of further machines, and the steel return rollers therefore appeared outside the tank itself as well. They were carried by tank destroyers built on the same basis, by self-propelled howitzers, by anti-aircraft vehicles with folding sides and by assault guns whose production shifted to this chassis at the end of the war. For a modeler that means the set need not be used only on the classic version with a turret, but anywhere the subject stands on the same running gear.
Level the cut faces dry and draw the dust away, because abrasive waste from small cast or printed parts is not to be inhaled. Glue the rollers on so that they all stand square to the hull; a single one turned out of line catches the eye at once. Rust on the running surface looks convincing when a matte varnish is laid under the pigment to give it something to hold on to, and the excess is wiped off with a cotton swab moistened in clean water.
