An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from RS Models. The subject is the Polish RWD-13 light high-wing monoplane in a boxing with exotic markings collectively called Middle East. As a short-run model it puts the emphasis on fine detail and is aimed rather at modelers with some building experience.
The RWD-13 was a Polish light touring and liaison aircraft that followed on from the successful designs of the RWD series. It stood out for its good flying qualities and undemanding operation, so it spread beyond Poland as well. An ambulance version with a side door for loading a stretcher was among the variants built. Through exports and license production the aircraft appeared in a whole range of countries.
With a short-run kit expect to clean the parts up and possibly sand the mating surfaces. Use thin cement on the plastic and glue the slender parts (struts, landing gear) with a light touch. Apply gloss varnish before the decals and even the surface out with matte varnish when you have finished. Light opaque shades are best built up over a good primer.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
