Round-head rivets 0.5 mm in size. A small accessory for the riveted surfaces of models, where the head is to be clearly domed.
Responsibility details are not available.
A riveted joint looks different from a bolted one and on a model it tells at once. A round domed head casts a soft shadow and in a row it creates the characteristic rhythm known to builders of ship hulls, steam boilers, bridge structures, early aircraft and riveted hulls and armor plates alike. An injection mold often only suggests this detail and the first coat of paint levels it out; separate heads bring it back, and precisely at the spacing you choose.
Rivet heads of a round domed shape, 0.5 mm in size according to the name of the item. It is a fine dimension: in 1:35 scale it corresponds to roughly seventeen millimeters on the subject, in 1:48 scale to twenty-four and in 1:72 scale to thirty-six. For the large rivets of heavy structures it is therefore more suitable in smaller scales; for ordinary riveting it suits practically everywhere.
With rivets the regularity of the spacing decides more than with anything else, because the eye reveals an irregularity in a row at once. Mark a line with a pencil or lay a strip of paper tape against it and glue along its edge. Take the parts one at a time with the moistened tip of a toothpick over a light surface with a rim, and apply the drop of cyanoacrylate glue to the model in advance. Paint sparingly: a thin coat, a dark wash around the heads and a light lightening of the high points. A thick coat of paint would round the small heads away to nothing.
For modelers of ships, machinery and older structures who want the riveting distinct even after spraying. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
